Ibtisam Al-Shehri
Ibtisam Al-Shehri was recently named spokesperson and media advisor for Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation. Her role is pivotal in improving communication with domestic and foreign media, emphasizing the authority’s commitment to robust public and media relations, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Al-Shehri handles media inquiries, offering reliable information from authorized sources, promoting transparency and public engagement, and ensuring access to the authority’s accomplishments and initiatives. She possesses expertise in planning, training, media, and education.
Al-Shehri made history as the first female spokesperson for public education in Saudi Arabia, in 2019 at the Ministry of Education. With almost two decades of experience teaching English at various educational levels in both public and private settings, she holds a master’s degree in gifted education from the Arabian Gulf University.
Moreover, Al-Shehri received a foreign scholarship from the Ministry of Education for studies in the United States and actively engaged in multiple international education strategy conferences and forums.
